Bilaspur District is located in southwest of Himachal pradesh located between 31° 12' 30" to 31° 35 45" North latitude and 76° 23° 45" to 76° 55' 40" East longitude. Mandi and Solan are situated in East. Solan in South, Punjab in West, Hamirpur and Mandi in North and Una District in North West. The Sutlej river divides Bilaspur into two parts. Formation as the district - 1st July, 1954 AD as 5th district. Total area - 1,167 sq. km.
